Modular home FACHWERK 60-1: a promising project for living and for business
The KOLEO construction company has created the romantic and functional modular home FACHWERK 60-1: the interior area is only four metres larger than the open space.
Sturdy beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, a gable roof and contrasting finishes — the house is solid and strong, and at the same time full of air and light. The FACHWERK 60-1 modular home is easy to build in a few months on a plot from 1.5 ares.
Ways to use the FACHWERK 60-1 modular home with its wide terraces:
- a permanent home with one bedroom, a hall, a bathroom and a kitchen-living room of 35 m²;

FACHWERK 60-1: the layout
Entering from the porch, visitors pass the bathroom and reach the kitchen-living room with six panoramic windows and access to the covered part of the large terrace, and then to the sun terrace. A room of 11 m² with a panoramic window on the opposite side of the house serves as a bedroom or a study. One wall has no windows: convenient if an identical cottage with a mirrored layout is placed alongside.
The FACHWERK 60-1 project: energy-saving security
The structure and materials of this modular home with autonomous heating work like a thermos flask; the saving on heating reaches 20 %. Panoramic windows increase the natural light in the rooms of an energy-efficient house by 30–35 %. The use of low-emissivity glass and sealed units with inert gas provides sound insulation, protection from UV radiation and climate control. The house has good ventilation, the materials are fire-treated and resistant to mould, and the structure is earthquake-resistant.
FACHWERK 60-1: quality construction, built fast
The energy performance of a modular home depends 90 % on the quality of the materials and the assembly. The KOLEO construction company:
- makes the timber elements of the modular home at its own production facility;
- assembles finished segments in its workshops, with the power, water and heating systems already installed;
- produces the glazing and the built-in furniture in parallel, while the foundation works go on at the site.
