How to calculate the cubic capacity of material for a log house made of rounded timber?
To cope with the calculation of the required number of cubic meters of material (rounded timber) from which the log house will be built, you need to know its dimensions. There are several ways to calculate this, and we will present the two most popular:
- The cubic capacity of a rounded log is calculated using the formula π × R² × L, and then, knowing the area of the house, you can easily determine the required amount of material for a log house from a rounded log. Despite the fact that there is no doubt about the accuracy of the data obtained, it is better to provide a margin of 15-20%.
- Approximate calculations are carried out using a coefficient (it depends on the size of the building and the number of levels in it), which varies between 0.6 and 0.9.
