The interior of BARN 60-1 – a square hall, a bathroom, a bedroom and a kitchen-living room – takes up 54 m². Enough room for storage, a home office and a clear split between the guest and the private part of the house.
On top of that, the owner of the BARN 60-1 modular home gets 50 m² of open space across two wide terraces and a porch: the priceless chance to spend most of the day outdoors without travelling to a resort, without paying for extra heating and without a higher property tax.

The type of foundation is agreed after the survey of the plot; most often an affordable screw-pile or strip foundation is enough. The wind-resistant gable roof withstands heavy rain and snow loads and adds height to the interior. Together with energy-efficient sandwich walls of quality Carpathian timber, BARN 60-1 holds heat very well and offers strong sound insulation, seismic resistance and safety.
BARN 60-1: affordable modular technology and fast construction
Modular technology has proven itself across very different climates, from southern Europe and Japan to Scandinavia and Alaska. KOLEO makes the materials for assembling the module at its own production facility. Once the project is agreed and the plot surveyed, our engineers develop the technical part: utility connections, the type of foundation and the internal fit-out of the modular home.
Building the BARN 60-1 modular home needs no expensive site preparation and takes only a few months. The walls, complete with electrical wiring, heating and water supply, are assembled at the factory. Placing the module on the plot, with warm window installation and roof waterproofing, takes up to 15 days.
