A bay window in the house subconsciously reassures: the owner controls the situation across at least 180 degrees. Ancient instincts sleep peacefully, and the curiosity and pull towards nature of the 21st-century resident are satisfied 200%.
Surrounded on three sides by a wide terrace, the bay window with panoramic glazing in the new Valma 002 project by KOLEO construction company is a constant that remains unchanged across all variations of the elegant glulam timber house sketches. The bay window is large, easily fitting a table for 6-8 people or a soft seating corner for a relaxation zone in the winter garden.
Project «Valma 002»: maximum comfort in 130 sq. m
Morning coffee, daytime play with a child or working on a laptop in the fresh air, evening barbecue parties with friends take place on the terrace, connected by panoramic portals to the kitchen-living room.
Besides the terrace and the kitchen-living room with a bay window, all sketches of the «Valma 002» project include:
- a covered porch of 10 sq. m, easily fitting a set of garden furniture;
- guest access to the bathroom without passing through the bedrooms and living room;
- tall floor-to-ceiling windows, up to 50% panoramic glazing around the building’s perimeter;
- a wide gable roof overhang, which reduces wind load on the façade and shields the rooms from direct sunlight.
The glulam timber house project «Valma 002» is presented in two basic variations
- Covered porch and entrance door directly opposite the kitchen-living room. The logistics are linear: right from the threshold, guests pass the bathrooms, cross the hall, and without any turns inside the house end up on the sofa in the living room or on the terrace. The bedrooms are separated from the hall, located on opposite sides of the house.
- Porch with garden furniture and entrance door on the right/left; to reach the guest zone, guests must cross the hall with the bathroom and turn in the corridor. The bedrooms are shifted into one corner of the house and share a common wall.
Each variant technically allows for building a home with 2 or 3 bedrooms:
- 2 bedrooms + kitchen-living room with a 58 sq. m bay window;
- 2 bedrooms + a 13 sq. m room + kitchen-living room with a 44 sq. m bay window, both rooms have their own exits to the terrace.
Valma 002: who the wooden house project suits
The adaptable layout allows for a family without children, with children, or with elderly parents, and lets you set aside an office for remote work or a workshop. Eco houses in glulam timber with panoramic glazing are used for shops and offices in low-rise areas and cottage villages. The building with a terrace easily transforms into a restaurant at a resort or a VIP lodge in a nature reserve.
