Cottage project «Chalet 180»: two living storeys with optimal ergonomics
The sturdy frame of the eco cottage in glulam timber is designed for houses of 2-3 storeys. The building has a clear zoning into common and private space: 2-3 bedrooms with separate entrances, a transit zone with corridors, a bathroom, boiler rooms, staircases.
Project «Chalet 180»: general layout elements:
- on the ground floor, a kitchen-living room with access to the terrace; a guest bedroom (office, playroom), bathroom, boiler room, a second entrance with a covered porch;
- an additional room can be arranged on the ground floor by reducing the living room by 13 sq. m;
- the staircase is positioned directly opposite the portal to the living room;
- the second floor is a sleeping area with a large bathroom.
Layout variations of the glulam timber house «Chalet 180»:
- linear movement on the first level: porch and entrance door opposite the portal to the living room;
- classic layout with an entrance hall, porch and entrance located on the side wall of the cottage;
- an additional room can be arranged on the ground floor by reducing the living room by 13 sq. m;
- two variations of the second floor: 43 sq. m with a master bedroom and bathroom, or 67 sq. m with two bedrooms, a walk-in closet and a bathroom.
Chalet 180: alpine style and panoramic glazing
The Chalet 180 project is designed on the basis of Swiss mountain houses with a gable roof and adapted to different climate zones of Ukraine:
- withstands heavy snowfalls and downpours;
- protects from wind and dampness;
- wide eaves shield from intense sun in summer;
- sloped side walls on the second floor.
Panoramic glazing occupies up to 50% of the Chalet 180 perimeter:
- high level of energy saving in summer and winter;
- positive anti-stress effect of merging with nature;
- maximum insolation of rooms regardless of season.
