This spacious single-storey house is built from glulam. We designed the architecture in a Scandinavian style. Its characteristic features are minimalism, straight lines and strict geometry. The house has an interesting mono-pitch roof, made up of two parts set at different levels.
We designed the layout so that the family has many routes for moving around the house – this diversifies everyday living scenarios and gives freedom of movement. We achieved this effect through pass-through spaces and adjoining rooms – the kitchen-living room, the terrace, the music room, the master bedroom and even the bathroom.
We painted most of the facades a dark colour. The facade with the terrace and one veranda were done in a light wood colour. This creates a striking accent in the house’s appearance and highlights its Scandinavian style.
The main space of the house is a 50 m² kitchen-living room with panoramic glazing. The ceiling height reaches 5.4 m at its highest point. From the kitchen-living room there is access to a terrace of impressive size. It is divided into two parts:
- a covered part, where on warm days you can spend hours with family and friends without fear of rain or direct sunlight;
- an open zone for sunbathing.
Among the non-standard rooms in the project are a sauna and a music room, which also serves as a relaxation area after the sauna.
